Lucio Reversed Ending Analysis
Not only the Apprentice and Lucio have a. . . questionable relationship that almost makes me believe it's not, seeing their interactions. Lucio left all the thinking to an Apprentice who has taken over the Devil's role and is not capable of peace. They inherited the Devil's role and the inherent need to create chaos. Lucio was easily convinced to help, resuming his warmongering and conquering tendencies seen in other routes (i.e Muriel). Nadia returned to Prakra and battles Vesuvian forces while Asra's whereabouts are unknown (thank Faust).
I'm happy that we got choices to show we still care about Nadia and/or Asra. I can't imagine this Apprentice Devil has lost fondness towards their friends. Though it's my Asra and Nadia bias speaking 😂.
Back onto the questionable relationship between the new Devil and Lucio, Lucio is 100% our bottom bitch. He sits at our feet and looks up hungrily and submissively (what a sexy ass CG). He likes the idea of reward and/or punishment, loving that we put forward that idea. But he also suggests smooching too, although before that we are forward with the sensual touching 👀. This apprentice is much more dominant 👀.
This ending reflects another of Lucio's inevitable endings, a. . . perhaps the toxic relationship between patron/lover. The previous Devil didn't see much value in Lucio and in some routes, he was ready to throw Lucio away. In this route, Lucio is submissive to the new Devil's desires and orders which are extremely selfish and cruel, at least the war-related ones. Lucio could end up emotionally scarred if the new Devil decides to cast him away. The Devil can manipulate him so easily now because he loves the Apprentice. I don't know if that feeling is reciprocated anymore 🤔. Can Arcana love? Even if they were formerly human?
